WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE WORKSHOPS?

At Riven, our workshops are more than just classes—they are transformative experiences designed to push your artistic boundaries. Over five days of immersive tuition, you’ll learn directly from your favorite artist in a tailored program blending theory, hands-on exercises, and creative exploration.Each workshop includes:

5 days of expert-led tuition—a mix of demonstrations, guided practice, and deep discussions.

6 nights of accommodation—stay in a space designed for focus, creativity, and connection.

A personalized 1-on-1 portfolio review—direct feedback to refine your artistic voice and direction.

A customized curriculum—structured to fit the artist’s unique approach while giving you the freedom to develop your own style.

Theory & practical exercises—because great art comes from both understanding and doing.

Each workshop includes:

An easel for every participant.
A palette, mediums, and solvents.
Rags for cleaning & gloves.
All model fees covered.
Painting surfaces provided.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE WORKSHOP?

For each workshop you need to bring:

Your favorite brushes.
A selection of paints, and potentially various small item's
communicated by your tutor.

You will be informed prior to the workshop.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE WORKSHOP?

To make the most of your time at Riven, we recommend bringing:

Warm clothes – Even in warmer months, evenings can be cool.
Good shoes – Comfortable footwear for exploring the surroundings.
Swimsuit – For a refreshing dip when you need a break.
Passport or identification – Essential for travel and check-in.
Bathroom accessories – Basic toiletries to keep you comfortable.

WHAT DO I NEED FOR THE STAY?

WHAT LEVEL ARE THE WORKSHOPS FOR?

Each workshop will have a maximum of 15 participants. This to ensure the maximum amount of followup and tailored exercices for everyone there.

HOW MANY PARTICIPANTS?

We’re happy to help you pack and transport your artwork safely. If you’d like to take it with you, we can advise on the best ways to pack for travel. If you prefer to ship it home, we offer a shipping service for a fee.

We provide: Wrapping paper, artwork spacers, tape.

WHAT DO I DO WITH WORKS AT THE END OF THE WORKSHOP?

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is included. A private chef will prepare dinners using locally sourced ingredients, and we can accommodate dietary needs such as vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian options. Let us know your preferences, and we’ll make sure you’re well taken care of.

We will always have a selection of juices, water, coffee and tea on site. Alcohol is not included in the price, but there will be opportunities to shop locally.

WHAT ABOUT FOOD AND DRINKS?

Barcelona El Prat Airport is conveniently located near the venue and offers excellent international connections. Alternatively you can fly to Girona Airport, but we can unfortunately not offer transport from there.

WHERE DO I FLY TO?

Our workshops include a direct shuttle service from the location of Life Drawing Barcelona in the city center. Shuttles run twice a day on the first day of the workshop, departing at 09:00 AM and 14:00 PM. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours.

If you’re unable to take the shuttle, an alternative option is the bus transfer from Plaça Catalunya to the city of Berga, which takes around 2.5 hours. We can arrange a pickup from the Berga bus station to bring you to the venue.

All necessary travel information will be communicated in time to the participants.

HOW DO I GET TO THE VENUE?

If you’re using our transfer service, there’s no need to book any additional transportation. For excursions, we provide transportation or utilise local services to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience.

DO I NEED OTHER TRANSPORTATION DURING THE WEEK?

To book a workshop, simply book it through our website and pay through Stripe or any other available paying methods. If you would like to pay in installments, or would like to pay through a different payment method, please contact us through our contact page.

HOW DO I BOOK?

Yes, you can book consecutive workshops. If you register for two workshops that run back-to-back in our schedule, we will provide free accommodation, meals, and drinks for the two days between the workshops.

CAN I BOOK CONSECUTIVE WORKSHOPS?

If you cancel up to three months before the workshop, you will receive 50% refund. However, if either you or we find a replacement, you will receive a full refund. If no replacement is found and the cancellation occurs within twelve weeks of the workshop, no refund will be given.
